Use of personal data
This policy on the protection of personal data describes how we process personal data at Norcover ApS. We describe which personal data is processed for which purposes, the legal processing basis for this processing as well as other relevant matters linked to this. We collect and process personal data for the purposes that follow from our business, including the sale of products and services to customers on the private and business market. We also collect personal data when you visit our web pages. A separate policy on the protection of personal data applies to employees and job applicants. Our processing of personal data takes place in accordance with the EU’s Personal Data Regulation (GDPR).
Users of our website
Our web pages contain a contact form that you can fill in with name, e-mail address, mobile number and comment. We process personal data for the purpose of answering your questions, and the processing is based on your implied consent that we may process your contact information for this purpose, which you provide by voluntarily sending this information to us via our websites, cf. GDPR, Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a). We process personal data from the web form for as long as is necessary to answer your question, and delete it no later than one year after the last contact between you and us, unless you become a customer with us, in which case we process personal data about you for this purpose in accordance with the description above.
In order to be able to handle and administer our website, we process personal data about you if you consent to cookies. You can read more about this in our cookie policy. Depending on which cookies you consent to, we may process the following categories of personal data about you:
General personal data such as IP address or which pages you visit on our website or across the internet, cf. the personal data regulation art. 6 pieces. 1, letter a.
If you consent to third-party cookies, we will share information about your visit to our website with Google in order to compile statistics and improve our website, measure the effectiveness of our marketing and to target advertisements to you.
If you consent to third-party cookies, we also share information about your visit to our website with the social media providers such as Facebook and LinkedIn in order to compile statistics and improve our website, measure the effectiveness of our marketing and to target advertisements to you. In connection with these processing activities, we are the joint data controller with the social media providers, cf. the personal data regulation art. 26.
You can read more about cookies in our cookie policy.
How long we process your personal data for these purposes depends on which cookies you consent to.
Direct marketing
In order to be able to keep you updated with relevant news, we process the following overall categories of personal data about you:
General personal data, such as your name and contact details, if you have given consent to direct marketing, cf. the personal data regulation art. 6 pieces. 1, letter a and Section 10 of the Marketing Act
To the extent necessary, we pass on your personal data to our software suppliers and business partners.
As a starting point, we process your personal data until you unsubscribe from marketing. You can always unsubscribe from marketing by clicking on ”unsubscribe” in our newsletters or by contacting us as described at norcover@norcover.eu
If you unsubscribe from our marketing, we will store your personal data for up to three months after unsubscribing in order to be able to document your consent, cf. the Personal Data Regulation art. 6 pieces. 1, letter f.
Potential clients
We collect and register personal data about contact persons of our customers, suppliers and other connections who have contact with us. We do this in order to keep in constant contact with our customers, inform about products and orders, process purchases, organize deliveries, invoicing, etc.
In such cases, we process the name, e-mail address and telephone number of contact persons and possibly also a history of dialogue with contact persons, orders, etc.
If you are a customer of ours, the processing basis follows from our agreement with you, cf. GDPR, Article 6, paragraph 1., letter b). In this case, the personal data is stored as long as you are a customer with us, and for three years after the customer relationship has ended. If, on the other hand, you are employed by one of our business customers, the processing basis follows our legitimate interest in processing information about our customers’ contact persons for the purposes described above, cf. GDPR, Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f), where, after a closer assessment, our interests outweigh the data subject’s claim to protection of personal data. The information is stored as long as you are employed by one of our customers. The personal information is deleted no later than one year after we receive notification that you have stopped working with one of our customers. In both cases, the personal data will be processed as necessary in accordance with the statutory rules on storage time, e.g. the Accounting Act’s requirement to store accounting documents (such as invoices) for five years after the end of the financial year.
The personal information is collected either from you or from your employer.
Unsolicited application sent via e-mail
You can send us an unsolicited application via e-mail at norcover@norcover.eu. The basis for our processing of this information is your implied consent that we may save your job application and evaluate you when there are vacancies with us. We store the personal data as long as you consent to our processing it. You can withdraw your consent to our processing of your job application at any time. In that case, we will delete the application and will no longer be able to use the personal data to assess you for a future vacant position with us.
Your personal data is deleted after 6 months at the latest.
Who gets access to your personal data?
Your personal data will only be processed by permanent or consultant employees who need access to the information in connection with their work. All permanent and consultant employees have signed a confidentiality statement regarding the personal data that the individual becomes familiar with or otherwise processes in connection with their work tasks.
The confidentiality statement also applies after the employment relationship has ended.
